How to Collect Wedding Guest Photos With a QR Code (No App Needed)
Put one QR code on the tables and let every guest add their phone photos and videos to the wedding gallery — no app, no account, and nothing scattered across WhatsApp groups.
Every wedding produces two sets of photos: the ones you shoot, and the hundreds your guests take on their phones. The second set usually dies in WhatsApp groups and camera rolls. With a guest wall and one QR code on the tables, all of it lands in the same gallery as your professional work — automatically.
How do wedding guests share their photos?
Guests scan a QR code on the table, which opens the wedding gallery in their browser. They tap Add your photos, optionally type their name, and pick photos or videos from their phone. That's the entire flow — no app to install, no account to create, nothing to explain during dinner.
Setting it up in GalleryLink
- Create the wedding gallery from the couple's Google Drive folder, as you normally would.
- Turn on guest uploads in the gallery's settings — it's one toggle on the Pro plan.
- Print the QR cards. Every gallery comes with a QR designer: a plain code, a table card, or an A4 poster, with one of the wedding's own photos inside the code. Download as print-ready PNG.
Do guest photos fill up my Google Drive?
No. Guest uploads are stored by GalleryLink, completely separate from your Drive. Your folder stays exactly as you delivered it, and you can remove any guest photo from the wall with one click. Each gallery holds up to 500 guest photos and phone videos (40 MB per file).
What about the gallery password?
The guest wall follows the gallery's privacy: if the gallery has a password, guests enter it once before they can view or add anything. You stay in control of who's in the room.
Show the photos live at the reception
The best part: pair the guest wall with the live slideshow on a venue screen. New guest photos jump to the front of the queue within seconds of being uploaded — people see their shot appear on the big screen, which makes even more people scan the code.
