ShootProof Alternatives in 2026: What to Use Instead, by the Job You Use It For
ShootProof alternatives sorted by the job you use it for: selling prints (Pixieset, Pic-Time, Zenfolio, SmugMug), contracts, invoices and booking (CloudSpot, HoneyBook, Dubsado), or delivery from Google Drive (GalleryLink, Galleroo), with ShootProof's 2026 plans, yearly costs from each pricing page in October 2026 and how to leave without losing records.

Short answer
If you sell prints, Pixieset or Pic-Time are the closest ShootProof alternatives. If you rely on contracts, invoices and booking, CloudSpot bundles them from $17 a month, or pair a gallery tool with HoneyBook or Dubsado. If you mainly deliver and your edited photos are already in Google Drive, a Drive-based gallery such as GalleryLink ($50 a year) or Galleroo (€89 a year) avoids storing every shoot twice. ShootProof itself runs from free to $60 a month, with 100 GB on Standard at $19.99 a month or $16.67 billed yearly, as of October 2026.
ShootProof is three products sold as one subscription. It delivers client galleries. It sells prints and digital downloads from those galleries, commission-free on every plan. And from the first paid plan, it runs part of your business: e-sign contracts, invoices and online booking. For a photographer who uses all three, that bundle is good value.
Most people searching for a ShootProof alternative use one or two of those jobs, not all three. The right replacement depends on which ones. A photographer who mainly delivers galleries has very different options from one who books, contracts and invoices every client through ShootProof.
This guide sorts the alternatives by job: galleries only, galleries and a store, and galleries plus business admin. It also covers the case where your finished photos already sit in Google Drive. Prices are from each company's own pricing page, as of October 2026.

The short answer
If you sell prints, the closest swaps are Pixieset (commission-free on paid plans) and Pic-Time (a store plus automated sales campaigns). If you use ShootProof's contracts, invoices and booking, either stay or move to a pair: a gallery tool plus a business tool such as HoneyBook or Dubsado. CloudSpot is the one that bundles both, from $17 a month. If you mostly deliver galleries and your edited photos already go to Google Drive, you're paying ShootProof to store a second copy. A Drive-based gallery such as GalleryLink ($50 a year) or Galleroo (€89 a year) shows the folder you already have.
What ShootProof does well
Some of these are good reasons to stay, so it's worth being fair first.
- Commission-free sales on every plan, including Free. You keep your markup on prints and downloads, with lab fulfilment built in. Most competitors take a cut on their free tier, or charge a fee on every order.
- Contracts and invoices from $9.99 a month. E-sign contracts and invoicing are included on every paid plan. ShootProof says its invoices carry no commission fees.
- Booking. Clients can book their own sessions and pay online.
- Email marketing on every plan, plus a branded client mobile app (up to 5 on Free, unlimited on paid plans).
- Unlimited galleries on Free, with download controls and a simple portfolio site.
If you sell regularly and run your bookings, contracts and invoices through ShootProof, it is probably the cheapest way to have all of that in one place, and this guide may simply confirm it.
What ShootProof costs in 2026
From ShootProof's plans page, as of October 2026. Plans are sold by storage; ShootProof also offers the same prices with photo-count limits (100, 1,500, 5,000, 25,000 or unlimited photos).
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 3 GB, photos only |
| Starter | $9.99 | $8.33/mo (about $100 a year) | 20 GB, photos and video |
| Standard | $19.99 | $16.67/mo (about $200 a year) | 100 GB, photos and video |
| Professional | $31.99 | $26.67/mo (about $320 a year) | 1,000 GB of photos, 50 GB of video |
| Premium | $60 | $50/mo ($600 a year) | Unlimited photos, 150 GB of video |
Contracts and invoices start on Starter. The Free plan has no video and no slideshows.
Why photographers look elsewhere
- Storage sets the bill. A season of weddings or events outgrows 20 GB quickly, and 100 GB is about $200 a year. The price rises with how much you've shot, not with how much you sell.
- Video needs a paid plan, and on Professional and Premium it has its own, smaller allowance (50 GB and 150 GB).
- The admin side duplicates tools they already have. Many photographers already run contracts and invoices in HoneyBook, Dubsado, Pixieset Studio Manager or their accounting software. For them, ShootProof's bundle is paid for twice.
- A quiet store. If clients download and never order prints, a sales platform is more setup than the job needs.
- A second upload of every shoot. Like every hosted platform, ShootProof keeps its own copy of your photos. If you already export finished work to Google Drive, each job is uploaded and stored twice.
The three jobs ShootProof does
Before comparing anything, check which of these you used in the last twelve months:
- Delivery: galleries, downloads, favourites, passwords.
- Selling: print and download orders. Look at what the store actually earned.
- Admin: contracts, invoices, payments and booking.
If you used all three, you probably won't find a cheaper single tool, and moving means rebuilding a lot. If you used delivery and selling, look at the store section. If admin matters most, the admin section covers it. If it's mostly delivery, the Drive section is where you save the most.
If you sell prints and downloads
Keep a sales-first platform. These are the closest swaps for ShootProof's store.
Pixieset
Polished galleries, a well-known store and unlimited galleries on every plan. Paid plans are commission-free; the free plan takes 15% of store sales. As of October 2026, monthly (or per month billed yearly):
- Free: 3 GB.
- Basic: $10 ($8). 10 GB.
- Plus: $20 ($16). 100 GB.
- Pro: $30 ($24). 1 TB.
- Ultimate: $50 ($40). Unlimited.
Pixieset sells its business tools (Studio Manager: booking, contracts, invoices and payments) as a separate product with a free starting tier, so you can rebuild ShootProof's bundle in one company. Our Pixieset alternatives guide looks at the same market from the other side.
Pic-Time
The most sales-focused option: a store plus automated email campaigns, coupons and gift cards on every plan, and face search on the top plan. As of October 2026: Free (10 GB of photos), Beginner $8 a month or $7 billed yearly (20 GB), Professional $25 or $21 billed yearly (100 GB) and Advanced $50 or $42 billed yearly (unlimited photos). It has no contracts or invoices. See Pic-Time alternatives for the full picture.
Zenfolio and SmugMug
Both pair galleries with a website. Zenfolio starts selling on Professional ($23 a month, $11.50 billed yearly, 150 GB) and charges a 7% commerce fee on each order's subtotal, plus a small digital download fee and payment processing. SmugMug has unlimited full-resolution JPEG storage on every plan, and sells from Portfolio ($23.50 a month billed yearly).
If you rely on contracts, invoices and booking
This is the hardest part of ShootProof to replace cheaply, because few gallery tools include it.
- CloudSpot is the closest single replacement. Its Lite plan ($17 a month, 100 GB) includes contracts, booking, mini-session scheduling, unlimited galleries and commission-free sales. Invoicing and online payments are available in the US only. Free ($0) and Entry ($7) have no contracts or invoices, and take 15% of store sales.
- A business tool plus a gallery tool. HoneyBook includes contracts, invoices, payments and scheduling from $29 a month billed yearly (Starter). Dubsado is $335 a year (Starter) or $525 (Premier, with advanced scheduling). Either sits next to whichever gallery tool fits your delivery.
- Pixieset Studio Manager, if you also move galleries to Pixieset (see above).
Before you leave, export or save every signed contract and paid invoice. They are your business records, and they won't follow you to a new platform. If you are rewriting your contract anyway, our guide to what to include in a photography contract is a good checklist.
If you mainly deliver, and your photos are in Google Drive
Switching saves the most here, because you stop paying for three things you don't use: a store, a contracts system, and a second copy of your photos.
Drive-based gallery tools don't host your photos. You point them at a Google Drive folder shared as "Anyone with the link", and they show it as a proper client gallery: a cover, sections from your subfolders, a full-screen viewer and downloads of the original files. Add a photo to the folder and it appears in the gallery. Because nothing is stored twice, there are no storage tiers to outgrow.
- GalleryLink: build one gallery free and share it for 24 hours, $10 once to keep that gallery online, or Pro at $5 a month or $50 a year for unlimited galleries. More in its own section below.
- Galleroo: turns a Drive folder into a gallery with passwords and full-resolution downloads, for €89 a year as a single payment.
Neither has a print store or contracts. For more ways to turn a folder into a gallery, including free ones, see Google Drive client gallery: five ways compared.
What a year costs, side by side
Starting prices flatter everyone. A fairer comparison is what a year costs for around 100 GB of finished galleries, billed yearly where offered, from each pricing page as of October 2026:
| Tool | Plan for about 100 GB | About a year | Sells prints | Contracts and invoices |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ShootProof | Standard (100 GB) | $200 | Yes, no commission | Yes |
| Pixieset | Plus (100 GB) | $192 | Yes, no commission on paid plans | Separate product |
| Pic-Time | Professional (100 GB) | $252 | Yes | No |
| CloudSpot | Lite (100 GB), regular monthly price | $204 | Yes, no commission on Lite | Yes (invoices US only) |
| Zenfolio | Professional (150 GB) | $138, plus 7% on sales | Yes | No |
| GalleryLink | Pro (reads your Drive) | $50, plus the Google storage you already pay for | No | No |
| Galleroo | Yearly (reads your Drive) | €89, plus your Google storage | No | No |
If you'd pair a gallery tool with HoneyBook or Dubsado, add roughly $335 to $350 a year for the business side. On that sum ShootProof's bundle often wins, which is exactly why the honest question is whether you use it.
How to leave ShootProof without losing anything
- Start new clients on the new tool. Existing clients see no change yet, and you learn the new workflow on fresh jobs.
- Save your business records: signed contracts, invoices, payment history and client contact details.
- Sort existing galleries into still opened or ordered from, finished but worth keeping, and done. Our guide on how long to keep client galleries online helps with the middle group.
- Move the active galleries and send those clients the new link with a short note. Copy any favourites or album selections across by hand.
- Step down before you cancel. If what's left fits a smaller plan, keep it for a few months so any client who missed your email still finds their gallery. Keep your own copy of every gallery outside ShootProof.
Where GalleryLink fits, honestly
GalleryLink is our product, so here it is plainly, including where it isn't the right choice.
What it is. You paste a Google Drive folder link shared as "Anyone with the link", choose a look, and send your client one link. Subfolders become named sections, the gallery follows the folder when you add or remove photos, and downloads are the original files you exported. Work that isn't in Drive can be uploaded straight into a gallery instead: 2 GB on the free plan, 10 GB on Pro and 250 GB on Studio.
What it costs. Build one gallery free with no card, and share it free for 24 hours. Keep that gallery online for good for $10 once, or go Pro: $5 a month or $50 a year for unlimited galleries, passwords, client favourites and album selection, gallery stats, every theme and layout, a studio page with your own address, and no GalleryLink branding. Studio ($15 a month or $150 a year) adds 250 GB of hosted uploads and watermarks.
Where it falls short of ShootProof. There's no print store, no contracts, no invoices or booking, no email marketing and no client mobile app. If your galleries earn money after the session, or ShootProof runs your paperwork, GalleryLink won't replace that. GalleryLink vs ShootProof lists the differences feature by feature.
Choose it if your store is quiet, your contracts and invoices already live elsewhere, and your edited photos go to Google Drive. Then what you need is a gallery that looks professional and opens quickly on a phone, without paying to store every shoot twice. The quickest test is a real folder: create a free account, paste the link and look at the result on your phone. It takes about a minute.
