Gallery QR code maker

Paste any link, such as a client gallery, and download a QR code as a plain code (PNG or SVG) or as a printable card or poster with your cover photo and a title. It is free, needs no account, and runs in your browser, so your photo is never uploaded. The codes are static and never expire.

Style

When photographers use a gallery QR code

Anywhere people should find the photos without typing a link. Common spots: table cards at a wedding reception, so guests can see and download the photos later; a sign at an event or a school photo day; the back of a print box or an album sleeve; an open house flyer that links to the listing photos; the front desk of a studio, pointing to your portfolio or booking page.

Printing tips

  • Print the code itself at 2 cm (0.8 in) or larger, and bigger again the further away people stand.
  • Leave the white border around the code alone. That quiet zone is how phones find the code.
  • Keep it dark on light with plenty of contrast. Pale or reversed codes fail on some phones.
  • Scan the file before printing a batch, and scan one printed copy before printing the rest.

Static codes that never expire

Many free QR sites make a "dynamic" code that sends people through their own short link, then stop it working when a trial ends. This tool doesn't. The link is written straight into the code, so no service sits in between and nothing can be switched off later.

Common questions

Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code holds your link itself, not a redirect through our servers, so it keeps working for as long as the link it points to works. There is no subscription behind it and nothing to renew.
Can I change the link after I print the code?
No, a static code always opens the link it was made with. If you might move things later, point the code at a link you control and can update, such as a GalleryLink gallery address, rather than at a file that may change.
How big should I print it?
At least 2 cm (0.8 in) square for a code people scan from arm's length, like on a card or the back of a print box. For a sign people scan from a few steps away, go much bigger: the poster style fills most of an A4 sheet.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Not in this tool. A logo covers part of the code and leans on error correction to still scan, which fails more often on small prints. A cover photo and a title next to the code identify it without that risk.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The cover photo is drawn into the card inside your browser tab and saved straight to your device.

Every GalleryLink gallery comes with its own QR card

Turn a Google Drive folder or an upload into a client gallery and send one link. The share screen makes a ready-to-print QR card from the gallery's cover, so guests and clients get straight to the photos.
